Recycling Old Roof Slates

   28 Oct 2020

It's hard to believe that this piece of slate was up on some Irish roof.  It might have been a church, it might have been an old house or even a castle.  All our slate comes from the roofs of old houses or buildings.  We breathe new life into them giving them a second chance to be of some worth.

This piece might well have been on an old Huguenot house in Offaly and taken down from the roof and new ones put up in its place, a few years ago.  We were the lucky recipients of those slates and it has been with pleasure that we reuse them and make them beautiful.

This piece is particularily chunky and with lots of character.  I hope that can be seen from the photo
