Tree Trunk Art On Slate
Slate really lends itself to the carving of tree trunks on it. Especially if it is recycled slate that is chunky and full of detail itself. Then one comes along with a hand-held angle grinder and carves out the tree trunk outlines. 
. Then after one comes along with the same hand-held angle grinder to put in some finer lines and details. (See photo.)
And then with a rag in one hand and an artist stick of oil paint in the other, one goes dabbing the paint on in the appropriate places or using a paint brush for the finest details of the forest scene on slate(see photo)
And then the joy of watching this forest scene emerge from the textured slate!! (see photo)
